How to pay with Tax-Free childcare

As our club is Ofsted registered, you can use Tax-Free childcare to pay for your school holiday activities with us. This is just one way we can help make your  childcare affordable.

Arrivals and departures

The safe arrival and care of the children in our care is paramount. Staff will ensure that an accurate record is kept of all children in the sessions, and that all arrivals are recorded in the registers. The registers are kept in an accessible location, on the premises, at all times. In addition, regular headcounts are carried out during the session.

Breakfast Club opens at 7.45am. Entry is via the club door at the right hand side of the school.  At 8:45am, children will be accompanied to their classrooms, by a member of staff, in order to start the school day.

Safeguarding

Rooster's staff follow the school’s Safeguarding Policy. Gates will remain open during the session times but children will not be able to leave the club room without being accompanied by a member of staff. All our staff follow the school’s behaviour policy, this means we have the right to withdraw any access to the sessions, if we feel certain behaviours are impacting on the setting. Our Club operates under all school policies and guidance and will be inspected under the school’s Ofsted schedule.

What is Tax Free childcare?

Tax-Free childcare is a government-backed scheme which offers eligible families up to £2,000 per child per year (or £4,000 for disabled children) free to put towards childcare costs.

The government will give you 20% additional funds for what you pay into your account. For every £8 you pay in, the government will automatically add £2, effectively giving you basic rate tax back on what you spend.

Tax-Free childcare is available to:

  • Working families, including the self-employed, in the UK
  • Those earning under £100k and at least the National Minimum or Living wage equal to 16 hours a week
  • Those who aren't receiving Tax Credits, Universal Credit or Childcare Vouchers
  • Families with children aged 0-11 (or 0-16 if disabled)
